Cenedl heb iaith, Cenedl heb galon

There is a saying in Welsh, "cenedl heb iaith, cenedl heb galon"– "A nation without a language is a nation without a heart"

The Welsh language is at the heart of Welsh identity. It belongs to all the people of Wales, whether they speak it or not; it's part of our common heritage, from the place names all around us to the National Anthem. It's spoken by over half a million people, and understood by many more. Most of our choristers are not Welsh speakers but, as a choir, we are committed to keeping the language alive. To this end we incorporate a large number of Welsh songs in our repertoire. These include famous Welsh hymns and well known traditional folk songs as well as more modern pieces.

Wales is a proud nation and we are determined to keep the tradition of Welsh Male Voice singing alive.
